Homeless

We leave for Thailand in 12 days and we still have no reservations for classes, trips or hotels. If you know Bryan and I at all then it should be no surprise. But I have been looking!

I sent in our registration information to take two weeks of Thai Massage classes at "THE FINE ART OF THAI MASSAGE" in Chiang Mai but have not received any reply at all, much less a confirmation. I have also spent hours looking at hotels using an amazing iPhone app and online Asian travel site called Agoda. It's like the hotel.com equivalent for that part of the world. Also our good buddy Mark gave me the web address for airbnb.com which is an amazing resource for world travelers.

That said we still have nothing booked. We are about down to drawing straws but I can't seem to find where I left them.

Last week we had a stern awakening that this trip will be here soon. We both got our shots and pills for the trip! Typhoid, Tetanus, Malaria, Hepatitis and lets not forget the Bird Flu. The vaccines cost more than the flights! Neither of us had any bad reactions so that was a step in the right direction. We are less than a month away and about time we started to think about the trip.

Get ready Thailand, here we come!

OK we have the tickets. NOW WHAT?

About all we know so far is that Bryan and I are booked to fly out of Fayetteville (XNA) January 9th on American Airlines and plan to arrive back home on February 9th. Our layovers both coming and going will be in Chicago and Tokyo. Besides flying American we will also be on Japan Airlines.

That's about all I know so far. I wonder if we are going to do anything between the flight there and the return flight. I certainly hope so.
